Jordan (13) ascended Everest today - plus many more

Today the youngest person ever climbed Everest. Jordan Romero (13 years and 314 days young) made it from the North side. Many other ascents were achieved today. Apa climbed it for the remarkable 20th time and also the youngest Indian boy summited, Arjun Vajpai (sometimes written Vajpayee). He will be 17 on June, 9th!

Amanda Ramsden summited as well, she is the second lady climber from South Africa after Cathy O'Dowd, who summited twice (1996 and 1999). But she fulfilled another dream, she is the first South African lady climber, who finished the Seven Summits!

Austrian Pioneers' Route repeated on Shisha Pangma

When Edurne Pasaban and all other successful climbers on May 17th summited Shisha Pangma, they were the first, who repeated the original route from the Austrians in 1980, which was first republished after 28 years during the launch of this website. Please read the original story about it here (scroll a bit down!).

After the last reported and confirmed ascents some of the original tables are already updated, the 10to14 table, the 3to14-female table and the TOP5 women's table. Other updates and reports will follow!

Today Edurne Pasaban summited Shisha Pangma and finished the 14 8000ers!

The All-14-table is already updated, the other tables will follow soon! More summits were achieved on Shisha Pangma, Dhaulagiri I, Everest and Lhotse. Names and details will follow as well!

Balearic Climber lost on Annapurna I

After a long rescue battle it was confirmed today, that Bartholomé (Tolo) Calafat from Mallorca died on Annapurna I, after summiting on Tuesday. He was 39 years old (born September 14th, 1970). His previous ascents were Cho Oyu in 2004 and Everest in 2006.

Our condolences go to his family and friends!
