Gone on this day

2015 Janusz Kurczab, Polish climber, who led the successful expedition, that resulted in the first ascent of Shisparé Sar (7611 m) in 1974. During the same expedition he also made the first ascent of Ghenta Sar (7090 m). In 1976 he led the expedition that reached about 8400 m on K2. He died on this day, aged 77.
