1902 Peter Aschenbrenner, Austrian pioneer, who was a member of three Nanga Parbat expeditions (1932, 1934 and 1953). In 1932 he participated in the first ascent of Rakhiot Peak (7070 m). He died in 1997, aged 95.
1923 Josef (Sepp) Jöchler, Austrian pioneer, who participated in the first ascent of Cho Oyu in 1954. He died in 1994, aged 70.
1943 Raymond David Caughron, American climber, who ascended Dhaulagiri I in 1994. He died on Makalu in 2002, aged 58.
1950 Johannes Carstensen, German climber, who ascended Broad Peak Foresummit in 1999.
