Today four more Nepalese lady climbers ascended Everest!

Today, May 1st 2008 the fourteenth mountaineer in the world finished his target to summit all the 14 Main-8000ers with Dhaulagiri! Also the nineteenth nation has finished this task! Ecuadorian climber Iván Vallejo is the one, who made history! Many other summiteers were successful on Dhaulagiri I today, among them Carlos Pauner (his eighth 8000er) and for the first time on any 8000er a Spanish woman from Aragon, Marta Alejandre.

May, 2nd 2008: After a clearing telephone call it is confirmed now, that Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner summited Dhaulagiri I yesterday and that she came down well through the heavy wind. It was her eleventh 8000er, while Edurne Pasaban bagged her tenth 8000er also yesterday on Dhaulagiri I.
