Multiple ascents of Everest were reported during the last days and it will need some time to sort it all out. But there were also some news on the other 8000ers.

The first Swiss woman summited Lhotse on May 20th with SummitClimb, Josette Valloton! With the same expedition, but already on May 19th, the first Irish climber summited Lhotse, Domhnall O'Dochartaigh!

On Dhaulagiri I the first German lady climbers summited on May 18th. One report (in German) can be found here!

The names of the successful climbers are Alexandra Robl, Helga Söll, Alix von Melle, Jürgen Greher, Rupert Hauer, Bernd Müller and leader Luis Stitzinger.

Yesterday also the first Korean lady climber was on Dhaulagiri I: Oh Eun-Sun! (information by email!). This would be already her 11th 8000er. In July she will try to summit Nanga Parbat and Gasherbrum I and in the autumn she want to finish the 14 with Annapurna I. If all goes well, the first woman to summit all the 14 will be not Gerlinde, Edurne or Nives, but Oh Eun-Sun from South Korea! The future will show!

Arun Treks informed about the successful ascents on Makalu by Australian climber Mick Parker and British climber Roland Hunter on May 21st.

Last but not least: Between 7h00 and 8h00 on May 20th the following members of the Kobler and Partner expedition summited Everest:

Ramón Diz from Spain, Artur Rudolph and Marko Eberhard Reuss from Germany, Jürgen Klepeisz from Austria and Hermann Otto Wehrli from Switzerland. With them were leader Kari Kobler himself (his 5th summit!) and six Sherpa climbers.
